Insurance

All passengers traveling with Lobstick Tours MUST have adequate out-of-country medical insurance.  Passengers have the option to obtain insurance at their discretion.   You want to make sure that you and your investment is protected!  If you choose to purchase insurance through a different provider, make sure you know the terms, conditions and exclusions of your policy.  Do not assume it will provide full coverage for your holiday because some policies have a lot of limitations on them.

We strongly recommend purchasing a policy or a combination of policies that will cover you for emergency medical, cancellation, interruption and baggage loss and damage. 

 

Lobstick Tours offers comprehensive policies through RBC Insurance.  They are designed for travel and can be put together to work in conjunction with existing policies such as Blue Cross Medical or GMS.  We would be happy to answer any questions that you may have.  Please call our office at 1-800-665-0171.

 

Medical Insurance-  The RBC Insurance Medical Policy will provide you with 24-hour emergency assistance and unlimited coverage with no deductibles or split payments.  They are often able to deal directly with the hospital or clinic, meaning that you do not have to come up with the money for medical bills up-front and wait for reimbursement. 

 

Cancellation-  Cancellation insurance is going to protect you if you should have to cancel before you travel.  Travel can be very expensive and many travel products are non-refundable.  Once you’ve paid your trip deposit (or even the full amount), any number of unexpected reasons can cause you to have to cancel your trip.  The 46 insured risks in this policy include coverage for sudden illness, death in the family, delays and schedule changes. 

 

Interruption-  Interruption insurance is similar to cancellation insurance, but it is going to protect you while you are traveling.  It is there to assist you if you should have to rush home, mid-trip for an emergency or deal with delays and natural disasters.  

 

Baggage-  This covers physical loss of, or damage to your baggage, personal effects and travel documents (passport, tickets, etc) while you are traveling.  

 

Lobstick Tours offers two packages that bundle together different insurance components to create excellent, comprehensive packages:  

 

Deluxe Package-  Includes emergency medical, cancellation, interruption and baggage.  All-inclusive.

 

Non-Medical Package-  Includes cancellation, interruption and baggage.  This is a good supplement package if you already have your medical insurance set up through a different provider.  

 

 

Prices are based on trip duration, total cost of non-refundable portions of trip and your age when you are purchasing the package.  Medical questionnaires need to be completed by anyone over the age of 75 who would like medical coverage.
