The Lobstick Tours Family   

Lobstick Travel has been a family business, run by Monica Bayda since 1983 and worked closely with McConaghy Tours for 20 years!  In 2009, Monica retired and her son, Mike took over after working in the office for 18 years.  In 2010, Lorne and Norma McConaghy retired and McConaghy Tours became Lobstick Tours.  We pride ourselves on being friendly and personable.

  Nicole HansenNicole has been an agent with Lobstick Travel for 15 years.  Some of her favourite travel spots include Italy and Denmark, although she is excited to be heading to Cancun this winter.  This year, she is planning the "Panama Canal Cruise" and the "Ecuador, Amazon & Galapagos" tour for Lobstick Tours.

Lynn JunkerLynn has been an agent at Lobstick Travel for over a year, but has been in the business for over 15 years.  She has traveled to Australia, Eastern Europe and all over Mexico including Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, Manzanillo, Ixtapa, Cancun, Mayan Riviera and Cozumel.  Her years spent living in Florida gave her the opportunity to explore the US, visiting Arizona, Dallas, LA, San Diego, Las Vegas, Orlando, Daytona Beach, Jacksonville, Anchorage and Hawaii.  Lynn is a great person to see about sun destinations and handles most of the insurance for our groups.

Carla Koenig

Carla immigrated to Canada from Germany in 2007 and joined the Lobstick family.  She has traveled extensively in Europe and specializes in group travel and international airfares.  For 2012, Carla will organize the  "Footsteps of the Cossacks" and "Mediterranean Empires" tour.

Melissa Conkie- Connemara National Park, Ireland

Melissa is Lobstick Travel's newest travel agent and has been thoroughly enjoying working in the industry the last few years.  She has traveled to Australia, Mexico, Dominican, different areas of Canada and the States, and most recently, Ireland. She is very passionate about exploring the world, and always looks forward to assisting others with their travel plans.

Lynda SpriggsOur resident Kiwi, Lynda has been in the travel industry for 25 years and has had the chance to visit well over 40 countries.  She specializes in the South Pacific but can figure out how to send you just about anywhere.  This year, Lynda put together our Africa safari which features spotting "The Big Five" throughout South Africa, Kenya and Swaziland.

Val originally started with McConaghy Tours in 2008 & joined the Lobstick team in 2011. She works out of the Melfort office & does the planning & bookings for the Motor Coach tours. Val has travelled throughout the states & she enjoys working with people but most of all being with family, grandchildren & friends.

Hosts

 These are the fun, experienced travelers that will be assisting you on your tour.  They take the stress out of travel, coordinating buses, hotels, flights and cruises while you are actually away on your trip.  

 

Doug & Nancy Porcina- Smokey Mountains, Music TourDoug and Nancy have been Tour Hosts for four years. They have traveled with Lobstick & McConaghy Tours as hosts to Branson Missouri, West Coast U.S.A., Hostfest and the Music Tour which have been wonderful bus tours. In January of 2011, the fun couple hosted the  Hawaiian cruise and are excited to be hosting the Caribbean Dreams cruise in January of 2012. Come and join them for a 14 day break from winter! Get a head start on spring-  in April, they will be hosting a 12 day bus tour to Victoria, British Columbia. Their love of travel has taken them to many places such as Mexico, Ontario and Halifax Nova Scotia.

 

Archie & Bev Esplin- Three Gorges Dam, China Tour

Archie and Bev have been hosting tours for the past 11 years.  Arch is a retired Cargill grain buyer after 39 years & Beverly retired after 23 years as a bookeeper for a Balcarres construction Co.  They both have a passion for music. Arch is a talented musician and Beverly loves to sing. She directed a singing group of 30 odd men and women for 37 years. They love meeting all the wonderful people who join them for trips all over the world.

Bob and Linda HayesLinda and Bob Hayes are both retired (Linda from the Prince Albert Heath District-  Victoria Hospital and Bob from the Federal Government).  Linda's hobbies include first and foremost the Grandchildren, quilting, gardening/berry picking, baking, and travelling.  She is also actively involved in her church.  Bob's hobbies are music, reading and travelling.  His other interests include the church, the Shrine Club, and playing music.  Both Bob and Linda work part-time at Gray's Funeral Chapel.

They have travelled coast to coast in Canada (beautiful country), United States, Mexico, Europe, Australia, Singapore, Fiji and Africa (photo safari in Kenya and Tanzania).  They have enjoyed the Panama Canal Cruise, the Hawaiian Island Cruise, and the Danube River Cruise. 
 
Linda and Bob feel they have been 'truly Blessed' and love their job called retirement!

Ed and Eleanor have been hosting trips for seven years to interesting and beautiful places in many countries of the world.  TEd and Eleanor Glynnhey have escorted many happy passengers to the Maritimes, Alaska – Yukon, Australia – New Zealand, many destinations in the U.S. and the Panama Canal.  They have also visited the British Isles and Ireland, specifically, with Monica Bayda of Lobstick Tours.

 

Ed’s working career was with SaskTel for about 32 years and covered almost all of Saskatchewan from Prince Albert to the border with Northwest Territories.  Shortly after retiring he was recruited to work on the Channel Tunnel Project between England and France for 2 months.  Eleanor’s career in Nursing spanned 35 years in the two hospitals in Prince Albert.  She was responsible for the amalgamation of the two Operating Departments into one at Victoria Union Hospital.

The Glynn's both like to travel, help others to enjoy their travels, and look forward to hosting the Africa Trip in March, 2012 and Alaska – Yukon in June, 2012!
